Founded in 2024, the UTRGV Economic Review is the premier undergraduate and graduate economics website publication at UTRGV Vackar Robert C. Vackar College of Business & Entrepreneurship. Our platform is managed entirely of UTRGV undergraduate and graduate students, representing a diverse range of academic backgrounds and experiences.
We curate and publish exceptional articles and commentaries sourced from submissions by UTRGV students, focusing on business subjects that offer unique perspectives, clarity, and insights in academia.

Alfonso Delgado
Founder & Editor in Chief
(Graduate Class of 2026)
Alfonso Delgado is a sophomore majoring in Economics and Finance with a minor in Applied Data Science & Statistics. In the near future, Alfonso plans on working in Investment Banking and Private Equity before pursuing a Masters & PhD in Economics. In his free time, Alfonso enjoys playing chess and guitar, reading about history, watching soccer, and volunteering.
Jinna Yoon

Jinna Yoon is a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Accounting. She is currently a graduate teaching assistant for undergraduate financial and managerial accounting courses and wants to pursue the CPA after graduation. Her hobbies include taking cycling classes and playing the piano.
Lizbeth Ramirez

Lizbeth Ramirez is a senior graduating in May 2024 with a major in Finance and minor in Communication Studies. After graduation, she plans to work as a state management analyst and pursue her MBA after a few years of working. Outside of a professional setting, Lizbeth enjoys painting, Sudoku, traveling, and skincare.
Joshua Trejo

Joshua Trejo is a senior studying Accounting and Philosophy. After graduation, he plans to pursue his master's and CMA. Outside of school, Joshua enjoys fishing, spending time with family, watching sports, and reading about philosophy.
Robert Castillo

Robert Castillo is a Graduate student pursuing a Master's in Accounting. He plans to pursue both the CPA and the CMA. Outside of school Robert is an actively performing musician and partakes in weightlifting, spending time with friends and family, and learning about audio/technical equipment.
